About the programme

“I did not enter this world in order to enjoy life, but to bring joy to other people.” And that is exactly what Franz Lehár did. With wit and waltzes, amorous adventures and immortal melodies, his operettas have continued to excite listeners on the world’s stages to the present day. An evening of his famous classics and little-known gems is a declaration of love to the audience!

About the performers

Natalie Karl and Matthias Klink are a radiant pair of artists fully at home in operetta. The Stuttgarter Zeitung once called them a “deluxe casting choice”. Johannes Silberschneider, a welcome guest of the Munich Radio Orchestra, joins them as a charming and stylistically au fait master of ceremonies. With Ernst Theis, a specialist for light theater music stands at the podium, who has distinguished himself not only as the long-standing chief conductor of the Dresden State Operetta. His enormous stylistic range extends from the Viennese Classic to the avant-garde.
