In the 2nd Wednesday Concert 2020/2021, the Munich Radio Orchestra devoted itself to the composer Franz Schubert. Under the direction of Alessandro De Marchi, a specialist in historically informed performance practice, instrumental works were heard as well as some of Schubert’s most famous songs, presented by Benjamin Appl. Actor Udo Wachtveitl, best known as Munich’s “Tatort” commissioner but also as the narrator of the BR-KLASSIK audio biographies, led the concert evening and brought Franz Schubert’s life and work to life with seriousness and sensitivity.
